About the event

On August 18, the third International competitions in kayaking and canoeing Goodwill Cup ended on Moscow Rowing canal. It was organized by Moscow City Department of Sport together with All-Russian Federation of Kayaking and Canoeing.

The winner of Goodwill Cup is the national team of the Republic of Belarus. The Russian team finished in second place, and the team of Uzbekistan in third place.

Athletes from India, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Mexico also took part in the competition. In total, more than 800 athletes competed on Moscow Rowing canal and 110 sets of medals were played in kayaking and canoeing, paracanoe, dragon boats, SUP-boards, and canoe polo.

2024 Olympic Games participant Zakhar Petrov won three gold medals at Goodwill Cup, Alexey Korovashkov — two golds and one silver, and Olesya Romasenko — one gold.

Program for spectators

On August 14 at 13:30 at Goodwill Cup the opening ceremony of the competition will take place with street theater, a drum show, aerial gymnastics, and a performance by Garik Burito. The hosts will be Dmitry Guberniev and Alla Omelyuta.

On August 17 and 18, a program for spectators will be organized: a sports games area, an active children’s area, dance master classes for adults and children. Also, every day spectators will be able to take photos in the photo zone.

On August 18, the closing ceremony of the competition will take place, at which Dmitry Guberniev’s Guber Band will perform.
